Q&A #6 - Branding

So no ones been here for awhile but anyways just in case someone stops by:

Q:

1)I was just wondering what people thought about religious branding. More specifically Christian branding of things.

If it is a religious companies trying to do good things (ie. social services, or discussion through theatre), should they prominently place that they are a religion affiliated organization? Or should they practice values, be unashamed when asked about their religious stance, BUT not use it as part of their brand.

2) Is it silly to discuss Christian ideas in North American and European society in an cultural context alone; when western culture is so saturated with Christian ideas, can we even discuss the Church without being heavily charged with bias?

Today's Soundtrack

This idea came from a really awful attempt at sleeping (punctuated with some really amusing dreams). Each time I woke up, I found one specific song stuck in my head. I kept track of that as best as I could, and found that it kept going throughout the day. The following aren't necessarily my favourite songs right now, my favourite songs of all time, or even songs I like, but they are all songs that got inexplicably stuck in my head at one point or another today:

Enter the Summer

I think it feels a little bit like the appropriate time for a summer to-do list. Partly because it's now the summer, partly because I've got nothing else to be doing, and partly because I need to picture what I will be doing to get me through this dull night. I've forgotten how to be this dull.

1. Watch 48 of the top 100 films of IMDb:
Which is actually closer to 47.5, since I've got American Beauty jamming in the background.
2. Read three books:
Which is actually closer to 2.5, because I'm midway through one now.
3. Write something lengthy:
Like a short story or whatever. But on a related note...
4. Write at least 3 letters:
Like, legitimate, real letters. At least one is headed to France.
5. Watch Community:
I've got, like, this huge thing with Donald Glover.

I've forgotten how to be this dull. I've probably been over-stimulating my brain recently. Lots of activity and business. If nothing else, it keeps my brain flowing steady. Seems about time for a quote, and since I'm watching this film...

This movie is shaping up. So is my night. Or week. So what's something you can do that you forgot about? Give it another run. You've got the time for it. Don't lie to yourself.
